Account Ownership
Last updated: April 10, 2026
Your account belongs to whoever signed up for it. If you signed up on behalf of a company or organization, the account belongs to that organization.
Who's the owner
The person who creates the account is the default owner. If you're setting up an account for your business, you're acting on behalf of that business — the business owns the account and the data in it, not you personally.
If ownership needs to change — someone leaves, a company gets acquired, whatever the situation — contact us at hello@turbopuffin.com and we'll help sort it out. We may need to verify identity before transferring ownership.
Your data
Everything you put into our products is yours. We don't claim ownership of your content, your files, your documents, or any data you create or upload. See our terms of service for the full details on content ownership.
Disputes
If two people disagree about who owns an account, we'll try to work with both parties to resolve it. But we're not going to make legal judgments about business disputes. If it comes to that, we'll defer to the courts and follow whatever they decide.
In the meantime, we won't lock anyone out of an account unless we receive a valid court order telling us to.
